<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recover waste cutting pieces of rare earth metal at a low cost. SOLUTION: The waste cutting pieces of the rare earth metal are press- formed and the formed material is charged in a water-cooled hearth, melted, cooled and recovered as an ingot. To 100 pts.wt. of the waste cutting pieces of the rare earth metal or the press-formed material of these waste cutting pieces 50-70 pts.wt. of fluoride of the rare earth metal is added and both thereof are melted, and after 3-30 min, poured into a mold and cooled, and then the rare earth metal and fluoride thereof are separated and recovered.</p> |
