PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vinyl chloride resin composition which is inhibited from generating a hydrogen chloride gas and is excellent in moldability, applicability, and weatherability by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with a plasticizer, calcium carbonate having a specified average particle size, and an organic hydroxy-containing ester, each in a specified amount. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin with 30-150 pts.wt. plasticizer (e.g. a phthalic ester), 50-200 pts.wt. calcium carbonate having an average particle size of 0.2-10μm, 0. 5-10 pts.wt. organic hydroxy-containing ester, and optionally a stabilizer (e.g. butyltin maleate), a lubricant (e.g. liquid paraffin), a modifier (e.g. chlorinated polyethylene), a filler (e.g. silica), etc. The organic ester is a difunctional hydroxypolyester which has alcoholic hydroxy groups and is prepared from a dicarboxylic acid (e.g. adipic or sebacic acid) and a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. ethylene glycol or 1,3-butanediol).
