PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain knit fabrics excellent in appearance quality, fitting ability, wearablity, wear feeling, stretchability and the like when used as clothing by containing a polypyrrolidone and/or its copolymer in spandex fiber mainly composed of polyurethane. SOLUTION: The spandex fiber composed mainly of polyurethane, having 10-50 d preferably 10-30 d fineness and good at stress relaxation, strength, elongation and heat-set ability is obtained by spinning a polyurethane solution added 0.5-15 wt.% preferably 1-12 wt.% polyvinylpyrrolidone having 20-70 K-value and/or its copolymer. Knit fabrics such as circular knitting, weft knitting and the like are knitted using this spandex fiber.
