PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a period of time required for erection and also restrict the work at a high place to a minimum. SOLUTION: This is an erection method for stack in which the stack shell 2 is supported by an outer casing 3. The stack shell 2 and outer casing 3 are divided into a plurality of units in height direction. Among these divided portions of the stack shell 2 and outer casing 3, the upper portions 2a and 3a are secured to the ground 6 with wires 5. While taking up the wire 5, these upper portions 2a, 3a are floated in one united body by air pressure and thereafter the work of connecting the divided portions 3a of the subsequent stack shell 2 and outer casing 3 is repeated. Since the stack shell 2 and the outer casing 3 are erected at the same time, the period of time of work can be shortened. In addition, the work at a high place is required only for the removal of lids 4 of the stack shell upon completion of the erection and the release of fixing for the upper portions 2a of the stack shell 2 and the upper portions 3a of the outer casing 3 and thus the work at a high place can be restricted to a minimum.
