PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate surplus information updating work or the like even when the size of a division pack is made to be variable or even when new medicines are introduced and to widely and easily cope with them by providing a means for changing the size of the division pack in accordance with a medicinal amount of prescription information in a medicine dividing machine for dividing and packing the medicines. SOLUTION: One of prescription data 44 from a host computer 50 is developed in developed data 46 based on a converting table 45, common data 35 of the developed data 46 are transferred at first and, then, first pack data 31 are transferred. Feeding amount data 38 and number of tablets data 39 are set in the same way. Then a division pack belt 2 is progressed from the side of a printer 22 to the side of a roller 26 for the portion of feeding amount data 38, the medicines are discharged for the portion of pill number data 39 and the chemicals are thrown into the division pack 2a from a throw-in hopper 24. Thus, automatic packing is executed and the division pack formed in the division pack belt 2 is changed-over stepwise to permit its size to be one of large, middle and small selecting values in a selection table 32.
