PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water dispersion good in stability and useful as an additive for synthetic resins, paints, cosmetics, etc., by making the dispersion contain specific cured silicone particles, a surfactant, etc. SOLUTION: This water dispersion of particles of cured silicone contains preferably 25-80 wt.% of (A) cured silicone particles having 0.1-500μm average particle size, 0.001-10 wt.% of (B) a surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene nonyl phenyl ether or the likes, (C) 10-1,000 ppm of preferably a water soluble polymer which is an alkali metal salt of a cation-based water soluble polymer (e.g. a reaction product of a carboxyvinyl polymer with sodium hydroxide, etc.), and the rest wt.% of (D) water and is adjusted to have 2,000-100,000 mPa.s viscosity at 25 deg.C. The component A is obtained from a polydimethylsiloxane sealed its both molecular chain, ends with dimethylvinylsiloxy groups and chloroplatinic acid, etc.
