PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler of a simple sealing structure capable of preventing invasion of a combustion ash from a gap of a ceiling wall penetrating part into a ceiling chamber. SOLUTION: The boiler comprises plates 20a divided to pass centers of heat transfer tubes 11 in a direction (a direction of an arrow T) perpendicular to a direction (a direction of an arrow S) with a narrow gap of a tube adjacent to the tube 11 penetrating a ceiling tube wall, and half-split sleeves 15a stood at positions corresponding to the tubes 11 of edges 20b of the direction S of the plates 20a. The sleeves 15a are engaged with sides of the tubes 11. Edges 20b of the plates 20a of the direction S of the plates 20a are welded to each other, end faces 15a of the sleeves 15 along a lengthwise direction are welded to each other, front ends of the sleeves 15a are welded to sides of the tubes 11, and one upper sealing plate 20 is formed from a plurality of the plates 20a. Thus, an upper surface side of the plate 20 and a boiler furnace 4 are isolated to prevent combustion ash from invading into an upper surface side of the ceiling wall.
