PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To work even in a small place while having large excavating force by setting an overhanging amount from a lower traveling body within such a specific range that overhanging does not interfere with an obstacle when an upper slewing body is in a horizontal posture. SOLUTION: This slewing type working vehicle is formed so that an upper slewing body 20 may be turnably-attached to a lower traveling body 10, and a working machine 30 may be attached to the upper slewing body 20 with the machine facing forward, wherein the rear end part 23 of the upper slewing body 20 is stored in the fore/aft section of the lower slewing body 10 when the upper slewing body 20 is in a fore/aft posture. The rear end part 23 overhangs outward beyond the right and left sides 10b, 10b of the lower traveling body 10 when the upper turning body 20 is in a horizontal position, and an overhanging amount L is set within 10% of the overall width of the lower slewing body 10 or within at least 250 mm to at most 450 mm. It is thus possible to work even in a small place like a microcompact slewing type working vehicle while having excavating force larger than the microcompact slewing type working vehicle.
