SYNTHETIC POLYMER FIBER AND BRUSH AND CLOTH PRODUCED BY USING THE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic polymer fiber having sufficiently high rigidity, high antibacterial power and cleaning power and excellent durability and heat- resistance and provide a brush and cloth produced by using the fiber. SOLUTION: The synthetic polymer fiber is produced by spinning a synthetic polymer containing one or more kinds of inorganic powder. One kind of the inorganic fiber is a ceramic material produced by dissolving a mineral composed mainly of silicon in an acidic aqueous solution, neutralizing the produced solution, drying the product, adding water to the dried powder to obtain a slurry, circulating the slurry under a prescribed pressure for a prescribed period and drying the treated slurry. The total amount of one or more kinds of inorganic powder is 0.01-1.8 wt.%. Tourmaline or hydroxyapatite is preferably used as a kind of the inorganic powder. The brush 2 and cloth of the present invention are produced by using the above synthetic polymer fiber.
