PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform truing-up by eliminating the deflection of the side face of the end of a carrier medium and the buckling caused by abutting on one side of a medium carrier guide in truing up the thin carrier medium. SOLUTION: This truing-up device is provided with a medium carrier guide 31 having a carrier passage R for carrier media P formed in its inside and having a groove extending along the perpendicular directionβrelative to a medium carrier directionαformed in the bottom part R-1 of the carrier R, a truing arm 36 having a frictional body 35 in its tip and a cam roller 37 in its intermediate part, a truing cam 41 having an inclined cam 41A, an arm energizing means energizing the truing arm 36 toward the bottom part R-1 side of the carrier passage R so as to bring in a slide contact with the truing cam 41, and an arm moving means moving the truing arm 36 in the medium carrying direction.
