PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder stored in a ceiling allowing a person to simply stretch a lifting spring for balancing a weighty storing cover in its closed state at a predetermined portion. SOLUTION: This ladder stored in a ceiling is so constructed that one end of a storing cover 3 is supported through an opening and closing hinge 4 on one of a storing frame 2 fixed to a ceiling opening part 1, the other end of the storing cover 3 is supported through a pair of right and left suspension links 6 supported on a suspension fitting 5 fixed to the storing frame 2, a lifting spring 9 is stretched between the suspension link 6 and the inner wall 10 of the storing frame 2, plural ladder split bodies 8 are foldably fitted to the storing cover 3, and the storing cover 3 is freely openably and closably supported on the storing frame 2.
