<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the distribution of fluid in a column. SOLUTION: In a column 1 to which fluid 4 is fed, a liquid feeding pipe 2 communicates with a deflection unit 3. The deflection unit 3 is away from a column packing material in the vertical direction. After two branches 41, 42 are formed in the deflection unit 3, they flow along the column 1 in an almost mirror image symmetric relation, and they join again to form a flow 44 moving backward. The velocity component in the horizontal direction of the flow 44 is turned toward the deflection unit 3 in the radial direction. At least one third branch 43 is formed in the deflection unit 3 and is directed to the opposite side in the radial direction concerning a flow 44 moving backward. The third branch 43 can almost prevent the flow 44 moving backward from passing through the central part of the column 1.</p> |
