PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve wearing resistance and service life by coating a partial or full sliding surface of a shaft member or a bearing member in a cathode arc method with a TiN or a CrN film by specific surface roughness and thickness. SOLUTION: Coating of TiN to CrN film, by an ion plating method of cathode arc system excellent in adhesive force, is applied to a partial or full sliding member surface of a shaft or a bearing. Surface roughness of the part coated with the TiN or CrN film is preferably 0.1μm or less by Ra. Thickness of the TiN or CrN film formed by the cathode arc method is preferable 1 to 3μm. When the film thickness is thinner than 1μm, sufficient wearing resistance is not obtained, and the film thickness, when it is beyond 3μm, is not preferable from the point of economical efficiency and productivity.
