PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect acute bending and bending work of a work thicker than the maximum thickness in a specification and to eliminate bulging in a corner part by attaching a V-groove die unit in the bosom part of a bend beam over the entire length in the lateral direction and forming a V-groove along the entire length of the bending line of the work on a bottom die by pressing with a top die. SOLUTION: The work W is positioned in the Y-axis direction and the V- groove die 5 is downward rotating with a piston rod 8 and positioned in a working position. By working a manipulator 34, the clamped work W is positioned in the position of the bending line M. By lowering the top die and pressing the V-groove die 5, the V-groove 41 is formed over the entire length of the bending line M. In the bending work, the V-groove die 5 is retreated so as to get out of the way, the work W is positioned in the bending position M, the work W is clamped with the top die and bottom die 21, the bend beam 1 is rotationally moved and the work is bent with a positive bending die 3. Because the V-groove 41 is worked, the acute bending and bending of the work thicker than the maximum thickness in the specification are enabled.
