PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate stable frictional force to rectilinear motion by fixing each holding body to a frame body provided along a moving track, so that a rolling axis of each roller forms a specified angle to a cross section orthogonal to the moving direction of a moving body, and arranging rollers in open angle shape. SOLUTION: A linear moving friction device is provided with a requested moving body 1 moving in a rectilinear direction A, a number of rollers 3 arranged along a moving track 2 for the moving body 1, and holding bodies 4 for holding each roller rollably. Each holding body 4 is fixed to a moving track frame body 2 provided along the moving track 2. The respective rollers 3 are arranged in a trancated chevron shape in two rows in the longitudinal direction of the moving body 1, and the respective rollers 3 are rolled to generate sliding friction. Optional resistance proportional to load onto the moving track frame body 2 side can therefore be imparted to the rectilinear motion of the moving body 1, and resistance of the moving body 1 can be easily controlled by changing this load.
