PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method performing and stopping steering control from a first steering device to a second steering device while regulating movement of a first platform relative to a second platform. SOLUTION: System and method for power transmission includes a first power transmission device 22, a second power transmission device 24, a first platform 30, and a second platform 34. The system includes a lock device 26 fixing the first platform 30 relative to the second platform 34. The lock device 26 includes power transmission mechanisms 38 and 42 transmitting power from the first power transmission device 22 to the second power transmission device 24 when the first platform 30 is fixed relative to the second platform 34.
