SUBSTANCE: method for making honeycomb structure of band comprises steps of subjecting band to heat treatment by heating it until temperature more than temperature of alpha _-> beta conversion by means of laser beam; placing filler between layers of facing and performing diffusion welding; changing diameter of focal point and speed of moving laser beam at process of heat treatment. In mean portion of band diameter of focal point is maximum, motion speed is minimum; in edge regions diameter of focal point is minimum, motion speed is maximum. Pitch of dash lines is set equal to maximum diameter of focal point. At process of diffusion welding filler band remains stable at upsetting due to worked portions of band; non-worked portions of band allow to form high-quality joint whose strength is equal to that of base material at welding along any surface. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
