PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase ball carry by clubs and keep the manufacturing cost of their head low. SOLUTION: A club head 10 comprises a crown portion 11, a face portion 12, a sole portion 13, a back face portion 14 and a neck portion 15. The crown portion 11 swells so that the maximum point P of the outline curve of its middle cross section along a line X-X is back from the head center I, and has a back cant portion 11a. A front-half volume V1 is larger than a back-half volume V2 with the head center I in between. On the outline curve of the middle cross section, a height AB from the top edge A to the leading edge B of the face portion 12 is smaller than a height CD from the top end C of the cant portion 11a to the intersection D of a vertical line passing the top end C and the back face portion 14.
|
