PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reinforced plastic pipe of high strength sufficiently resistant to external force while being long-sized by forming a reinforcing fiber layer with reinforcing fiber wound at a specified angle to the lengthwise direction of the pipe, and a reinforcing fiber layer with reinforcing fiber wound at another specific angle. SOLUTION: As reinforcing fiber which is the material of fiber reinforced plastic forming a fiber reinforced plastic pipe, glass fiber is used, preferably glass roving, to be concrete. Cost can therefore be reduced while improving strength. In the case of manufacturing the fiber reinforced plastic pipe by a filament winding method, for instance, a reinforcing fiber layer with the reinforcing fiber 1 wound at an angle of 80±5 deg. are formed in a winding process. Various stress acting from various directions is therefore dispersed to improve the strength of the pipe.
