PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-composite resin hose having excellent adhesivity and scarcely having defects. SOLUTION: This reinforcing yarn for resin hoses comprises a composite yarn which has a fineness of 300-3,000 denier and a breaking strength of >=4.0 g/d and a dry heat shrinkage of 3-16% and which comprises a core yarn and a sheath yarn wherein polyester multifilaments having a fineness of 150-2,000 denier, a breaking strength >=7.0 g/d, a breaking elongation of >=11% and a dry heat shrinkage of <=18% are contained at least in the core yarn. The method for producing the reinforcing yarn for the resin hoses comprises applying a Taslan processing to the core yarn and the sheath yarn in a condition that the sum of the overfeed rates of the core yarn and the sheath yarn is >=15%.
