摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate the need for a new sensor for measuring secondary airflow rate, by closed loop control of an air pump with the difference between a first input signal from an airflow rate sensor of an intake duct and a first control command corresponding to a second signal of the airflow rate according to intake airflow rate estimating means. SOLUTION: In a block 158, a throttle passing estimated airflow rate of a throttle airflow rate model 154 is subtracted from the airflow rate obtained by an airflow rate sensor 62. This differential signal is then subtracted from the supplementary airflow rate command of a command generating means 152 in a block 163, and the deviation signal of a closed loop controller 162 is determined. The closed loop command of the block 162 is added to the closed loop secondary air command of the block 152 in a block 172 and the duty cycle control command for controlling the secondary air volume is determined. The command generating means 152 determines the supplementary airflow rate and closed loop secondary air command and the like by the intake port airflow rate model 156 and the signal from the block 158 and the like.
