PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid detergent composition having improved detergency and suppressed halogen gas emission by blending a terminal blocking nonionic surfactant, an organic acid and a non-aromatic compound containing an unsaturated bonding. SOLUTION: This composition contains 0.1-5 wt.% of a terminal blocking nonionic surfactant of formula I and/or II, 0.5-8 wt.% of an organic acid having a PKa of not more than 6.5 and 0.5-15 wt.% of a non-aromatic compound containing an unsaturated bonding. In the formulas, R1 and R3 are each a 6-22C (substituted)hydrocarbon group; R2 and R4 are each a 1-20C alkyl group of the like; AO is a 3-8C oxyalkylene; EO is an oxyethylene, (m) and (s) are each an average additional mol number of an alkylene oxide and 0<=m and s<=15; (n) and (t) are each an averaged additional mol number of an ethylene oxide and 0<n and t<=40; m+n and s+t are each 2-50; the additional mol number distribution of EO satisfies formula IV of the condition of the degree of narrowness; AO and EO are each a random addition and the mixing additional mol number distribution of AO and EO satisfies formula V of the condition of the degree of narrowness; (i) is a positive integer; and (j) is a retention time (min) or the like.
