PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition to give a piezoelectric porcelain tight and excellent in piezoelectric characteristic through burning at a relatively low temperature by substituting Bi for a part of Pb of A site in a basic composition of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)TiZrO3 composition to form a vacancy in the valency of the Pb site. SOLUTION: A part of Pb in A site is substituted with Bi in the basic composition expressed by Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)wTixZryO3, and a vacancy is formed in the valency in the Pb site to form a composition expressed by the chemical formula Pb1-αBiα(Mg1/3Nb2/3)wTixZryO3, where 0.05<=w<=0.45 mol, 0.35<=x<=0.50 mol, 0.15<=y<=0.50 mol, (w+x+y=1); 0.00<α<=0.05. Preferably, Mg in the basic composition is smaller than the stoichiometric value, a vacancy is formed in the Mg site to obtain the composition expressed by the chemical formula Pb1-αBiα(Mg[1-β]/3Nb2/3)wTixZryO3, where 0.00<=β<=0.5 mol. Mn is preferably added by 0.3-1.5 wt.% in terms of MnO2. |
