PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a tubular material for each specified dimensional quantity. SOLUTION: Three pairs of optical sensors 14-16 out of six pairs of the optical sensors 14-19 mounted on sensor arms 9, 9 are arranged above a carrier route of a tube material 3, and the rest three pairs of the optical sensors 17-19 are arranged below the carrier route of the tube material 3. Consequently, it is possible to detect jamming and meandering which is bending of the tube material 3 by these six pairs of the optical sensors 14-19. It is because light receiving parts 14b-19b incapable of receiving light output from light emission parts 14a-19a appear in the case when bending is caused on the tube material 3. Carriage and cutting of the tube material 3 is stopped in the case when bending of the tube material 3 is detected. Consequently, it is possible to certainly cut the tube material 3 for each specified dimensional quantity.
