PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger and its manufacturing method easy in assembling and reduced in manufacturing costs by surely and simply executing tacking in a stage that a connector is attached to a header pipe. SOLUTION: In this heat exchanger provided with a pair of header pipes 2, heat exchanging pipes which are bridged between these header pipes and a connector 6 for connecting a feeding pipe or discharging pipe for heating medium to the header pipe 2, a cylindrical connecting part 9 provided in the connector 6 is inserted into the opening end part 21 of the header pipe 2, and the cylindrical connecting part 9 and the header pipe 2 are fixed by caulking in the caulking part 13, then are brazed.
