PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet roll body in an excellent wound form hardly bending by providing spiral grooves continuously in symmetry from the axial center part of a roll to both ends, and setting groove width measured in the circumferential direction of the roll, to the specific value or less. SOLUTION: A spiral groove is continuously provided without a break, which serves to move air biting into a sheet roll, toward the end so as to be exhausted to the outside of the sheet roll body. Furthermore, spiral grooves are provided in lateral symmetry with the axial center part of a contact roll as a reference. Biting air can therefore be exhausted in shortest distance to the outside of the sheet roll body. The groove width (e) of the spiral groove measured in the circumferential direction of the roll is to be 30 mm or less. With the groove width thus set to 30 mm or less, the end of a sheet is restrained from falling into the spiral groove so as to obtain the sheet roll body in an excellent form without bending or the like.
