PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut type suspension which is reduced in weight and low in manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This strut type suspension includes a shock absorber 10 provided with an outer shell 12 having a spring supporting protrusion 12a on the side wall face and a piston rod 14, and a spring coil 24 arranged on the outer periphery of the shock absorber to be offset from the absorber axis of the shock absorber. The spring coil is formed with its lower terminal having a diameter smaller than the diameter of general portions and having a diameter center offset from the diameter center of the general portions and with its upper end supported by an upper spring sheet 26 and its lower end supported by the spring supporting protrusion 12a provided on the outer shell. |
