摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the head temperature rise at a low cost by forming a plurality of nozzle rows in a liquid ejecting head divided in several nozzle rows on a plurality of chips as well as providing the nozzle rows to be used frequently simultaneously on different chips. SOLUTION: A head having a nozzle row, comprising a liquid ejecting head base member 2 on a base 4, with the periphery thereof surrounded by a frame member 3 whips an ink according to heat generation of a plurality of heating elements formed in a row on an Is substrate comprising the base member 2 for ejecting the ink from a nozzle facing the heating elements. In this case, a plurality of chips with some of nozzle rows (in the figure, two of them, a color 1 and a color 2) out of a plurality of nozzle rows formed integrally are provided in a plurality so as to comprise the head. The nozzle rows to be used frequency simultaneously are provided on different chips. Accordingly, the chip volume can be ensured to some extent so as to curb the temperature rise degree and improve the temperature rise suppression effect.
