PHOTOCATALYST CARRYING BODY AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalyst carrying body carrying a material having photocatalytic function on a heat-meltable resin porous body with high bonding strength while sufficiently exposing the surface of the material. SOLUTION: The surface of a heat-meltable resin porous body and/or the pores in the porous body are coated with a photocatalytically functional material and the porous body is heated to such a degree that the heat-meltable resin softens to slightly embed the catalytically functional material in the surface of the porous body and/or to slightly fill the material into the pores. The photocatalytically functional material is carried on the heat-meltable resin porous body with sufficient bonding strength while sufficiently exposing the surface of the material to obtain the objective photocatalyst carrying body.
