PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration signal apparatus which does not move considerably, by the vibration for informing a cetain state, away from the position the apparatus is placed, even when the apparatus is placed e.g. on a table, by rotating an eccentric motor which a driving means so that the normal rotation and reverse rotation are repeated. SOLUTION: The eccentric motor 29 comprises a cylindrical d.c. motor 30 and an eccentric weight 31 integrally fixed to the rotating shaft 30a of the d.c. motor 30, the eccentric weight 31 having an asymmetrical shape about the rotating shaft 30a, and has a gravity center (the center of mass) G at a position apart from the center of the axis of the shaft 30a. In the housing 1a of a portable telephone, the stator side of the d.c. motor 30 of the eccentric motor 29 is integrally attached to the housing 1a, and upon reception of an incoming call, a driving part 28 sends a drive signal to the d.c. motor 30 to drive the eccentric motor 30. The driving part 28 sends a drive control signal to the d.c. motor 30 to drive it so that the rotor of the motor 30, including the rotating shaft 30a, together with the eccentric weight 31, repeats the normal rotating and reverse rotation, thus vibrating the portable telephone to giving a inform signal on the incoming call.
