PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute press working while repeating pressurization by utilizing a characteristic that pressurizing force is increased as a conventional crank type press or the like approaches the bottom dead center and moreover lowering the bottom dead center in a state that the driving part is reversely rotated in the vicinity of the bottom dead center to maintain high pressurizing force. SOLUTION: In this press machine 1 by which in press working is executed by vertically moving a slide 45 and cooperating an upper die 53 provided in the lower part of the slide with a lower die 9 provided in the upper part of a bolster 7, a press driving servomotor 13 which directly imparts power to a press driving member which drives the slide vertically via no power on-off mechanism, a slide bottom dead center regulating servomotor 41 which regulates the position of the slide bottom dead center and a controller 55 which controls the press driving servomotor 13 and the bottom dead center regulating servomotor 14 are provided.
