PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disassembling method and a disassembling tool for positively cutting down a fastening member fastened to parent material at an accurate position into its barrel and flange parts without damaging and deforming the parent material. SOLUTION: A tapping member 110 is rotated to a specified direction, a tap part 110a is threadedly engaged with an axial hole 11a while the axial hole 11a of a blind rivet 10 is being threaded by the tap part 110a of the tapping member 110. Next, a cutting force imparting means 200 is actuated in a state that the tap part 110a of the tapping member 110 is threadedly engaged with the axial hole 11a, so that cutting force is imparted to a cutting blade 102. This constitution thereby allows a blind rivet 10 to be cut into its barrel and flange parts 11b and 11c by the cutting blade 102, so that parent material 1 and 2 and the blind rivet 10 are thereby brought into a separable condition.
