PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor capable of ensuring an operation (floating) of a tip seal and enhancing a reliability and a sealing property by attaching an elastic member to a bottom surface of a seal groove along surfaces of opposed tip seals and providing a long hole of which one end is opened to a longitudinal direction of the elastic member. SOLUTION: In the scroll type compressor, a stationary scroll in which a scroll lap is vertically provided on a mirror plate and a rotative scroll in which a scroll lap is vertically provided on a mirror plate are eccentrically opposed while the laps are engaged with each other. Tip seals 12, 13 are embedded in seal grooves provided on tip ends of both laps and a discharge port is provided on a center portion of the stationary scroll. An elastic member 14 is attached to a bottom surface of the seal groove along the opposed tip seals 12, 13 and a cylindrical long hole 14a of which one end is opened to a longitudinal direction of the elastic member 14 is provided.
