ACOUSTIC SHIELD FOR INJECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic shield for an injector which reliably intercepts noise of injector to be installed to the exterior of the engine body by providing portions in the shield where members can come out of the inside to the outside thereof. SOLUTION: An acoustic shield 17 is composed of a support plate 18 and a shield material 19 which is provided so as to cover the entire inner surface of the support plate 18. A delivery pipe 16 and a fastener 22 are inserted from the inside to the outside of the support plate 18 through an insertion groove 21a and an insertion hole 21b, respectively. A fold portion 23 presses and abuts against the delivery pipe 16 due to elasticity of the shield material 19, thereby closing the abutting portion. When installed to an installation seat 28, the fastener 22 presses and abuts against the installation seat 28 due to elasticity of the shield material 19, thereby closing the abutting portion. Fold portions 30 are formed on the entire perimeters of abutting portions 20 to abut along the shape of an engine body 11 and close the abutting portions.
