PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of sliding resistance by suppressing the increase of contact area of seal lips to a minimum when the seal lips are deformed. SOLUTION: A clutch piston for a hydraulic transmisson is enclosed in an axially slidable manner in the annular space of a clutch cylinder, and changeover-operates a multiple disk clutch into a power transmission state and into a power transmission cutoff state by controlling oil pressure in an oil pressure chamber formed between the clutch piston and the internal wall surface of the clutch cylinder. A portion guided by the annular internal wall surface of the clutch cylinder 3 is provided with rubber seal lips 21, 22 put in a contact state inclining onto the oil pressure chamber 15 side with respect to a face extended along the radial direction, so as to impede an oil leak in the oil pressure chamber 15, and circumferential grooves 24, 25 are formed at the end part surfaces, positioned on the opposite side to the oil pressure chamber 15, of the seal lips 21, 22. |
