PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of appropriately predicting abnormal furnace condition of a blast furnace. SOLUTION: In the blast furnace, in which the furnace top pressure and the blasting flow rate are controlled to each prescribed value, the blasting pressure and the pressure in the furnace are detected and the time series data are analyzed in the time frequency, and from these analyzed results, at least one of a shiftβof the frequency distribution to the reference frequency distribution and a power variation ratioαis obtd. and then, bad on the obtd.βor/andα, the development of blowoff is predicted.
