<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently liquefy and decompose products consisting of various plastics including PET and composite material components thereof, such as magnetic tape cassettes. SOLUTION: Tape media, cassettes and spools consisting of plastic films which are components of waste plastic materials, are cut into small fragments to prepare plastic specimens 3, which are pyrolytically decomposed and gasified in a reaction tank 1, subsequently condensed to be liquefied by a cooling apparatus 9 and recovered in an extraction oil vessel 10. Here, the cassettes and spools mainly comprise general-purpose polystyrene or ABS, and the base plates of tape media mainly comprises polyethylene terephthalate.</p> |
