PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid detergent composition having suppressed dripping and improved permeability, wipability and detergency by blending a terminal blocking nonionic surfactant, an alkanolamine and a hydrophilic solvent. SOLUTION: This composition contains 0.1-10 wt.% of a terminal blocking nonionic surfactant of formula I and/or II, 0.1-10 wt.% of an alkanolamine of formula III and 0.1-99 wt.% of a hydrophilic solvent. In the formulas, R1 and R3 are each a 6-22C (substituted)hydrocarbon group; R2 and R4 are each a 1-20C alkyl group or the like; AO is a 3-8C oxyalkylene; EO is an oxyethylene, (m) and (s) are each an averaged additional mol number of an alkylene oxide and 0<=m and s<=15; (n) and (t) are each an averaged additional mol number of an ethylene oxide and 0<n and t<=40; m+n and s+t are each 2-50; the additional mol number distribution of EO satisfies formula IV of the condition of the degree of narrowness; AO and EO are each a random addition and the mixing additional mol number distribution of AO and EO satisfies formula V of the condition of the degree of narrowness; R5 is a 1-4C hydroxy alkyl; R6 and R7 are each H, a 1-4C hydroxy alkyl or the like.
