PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition rich in metal oxide and suitable for plastic films, high-melting laminate films, etc., by making the composition include a thermoplastic resin and a specific metal oxide. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) a thermoplastic resin (e.g. polyethylene), (B) (ii) a metal oxide treated with (i) a silane coupling agent having polymerizable carbon double bond (e.g. vinyltrimethoxysilane), and (C) at need, a pigment, dispersant, antioxidant, ultraviolet light absorber, etc. As the component ii, titanium dioxide, ultramarine, yellow iron oxide, red iron oxide, Titan Yellow, cobalt blue, or the like are preferably used. The component B accounts for pref. 1-70 wt.% of the composition; and the amount of the component i to be used is pref. 0.01-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component ii.
