PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine with an improved symbol game which can attract more players by rotating each rotary board in a prescribed direction to automatically divide game balls shot out to the game board into plural starting winning holes for starting a symbol game or only paying out winning balls. SOLUTION: Rotation direction of each rotary board 170, 270, 370 and 470 is controlled so that a gap in the forward direction or in the reverse direction or in both directions are created between adjacent rotary boards. Therefore, the flow of game balls passing through the gaps and a game ball passage 71 of the rotary boards 170, 270, 370 and 470 is complicated. For example, more balls enter a starting winning hole located lower in the gap in the forward direction, so that a symbol game is frequently executed.
