PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fryer for instant noodle which achieves a modified direction of a basket housing noodle in approaching the oil surface. SOLUTION: An attitude retained conveying path 36 is arranged on the side of the position of an inlet where a basket 2 housing noodle is moved into oil to keep the basket at a horizontal attitude to the oil surface 14c while advancing it vertically to the oil surface preventing oscillation thereof. As a result, the noodle housed in the basket moves into the oil retaining the noodle mass with the shape the same as that of a housing chamber of the basket. As the basket moves vertically to the oil surface, the noodle mass coagulates gradually from the underside thereof. Thus, in the frying process, the noodle becomes uniform in the density over all lines thereof.
