TRANSPORTING PART OF ONION PREPARING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy and performance of transport in the transporting part of an onion-preparing machine which conveys onions in the horizontal direction and leads onions to a cutting part by adjusting transport postures to direct the stems of the onions downward during the transport. SOLUTION: In a conveying part which conveys onions in the shaft direction by a lateral pair of screw type conveying devices and brings the stems of the onions to direct downward and leads to a cutting part, spiral screw transport units 20c made of an elastomer are installed on the peripheral surfaces of brush rotation shafts 20a.20b, brushes are planted on the peripheral surfaces of brush rotation shafts except these of the screw transport units 20c, the width of the screw transport unit 20c and that of the brush planted part are formed almost in the same interval and the outer diameter of the screw transport unit 20c and that of the brush part are formed in the same size.
