PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blurring or fouling of the amount part of an amount variable stamp due to rain, or the like without preventing application of a postmark as well as to prevent alteration of the amount. SOLUTION: In an amount variable stamp issuing apparatus for printing a desired amount on a stamp paper for issuing a stamp, a coating head for printing a coating agent is provided independently from a printing head for printing characters such as letters and marks for indicating the amount on the stamp paper so that after printing the characters for the amount by the printing head, the coating agent is applied over the amount printing part by the coating head.
