PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic seal for a ball screw preventing degradation of sealing performance through correct fitting of the hermetic seal, exhibiting sufficient dust protecting performance against hot dust, suppressing the steep rise of manufacturing cost and having sufficient strength to impact such as a collision. SOLUTION: This hermetic seal 20 has a seal body 22 of annular plate shape with its inner diameter shape formed in similar shape to the cross section, perpendicular to an axis, of a screw shaft of a ball screw, and play holes (oblong holes) 24 piercing a set screw with play when fitting the seal body 22 to the axial end face of a nut are formed in the seal body 22. |
