PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical and safe soil disinfection process. SOLUTION: Soil is brought into contact with chlorine water prepared by dissolving chlorine gas in water, by dissolving a hypochlorite salt in water or by subjecting chloride ions to electrolysis through watering, spraying or direct washing with the chlorine water. The disinfection of the soil with the chlorine water can attain perfect soil disinfection safely and inexpensively with saved time and labor without injury to the workers and without the residue of hazardous substance in crop plants. |
