PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new G protein coupled receptor protein arising from human brain, which consists of a G protein coupled receptor protein containing a specific amino acid sequence and is used for the search for substance being considered as candidate medicines inhibiting ligand linkages and the gene diagnosis or treatment by using its gene. SOLUTION: This G protein is a new G protein coupled receptor protein (salt) containing an amino acid sequence homologous or substantially homologous with the amino acid sequence represented by formula, I, II or III. The protein or a DNA coding for the protein is useful in the decision of ligand, the acquisition of antibody or the like, the construction of an expression system for recombinant receptor protein, the development of receptor binding assay systems and the screening of compounds being considered as candidate medicines by the expression system, the drug design, the preparation of probes for gene diagnosis and PCR primers, the manufacture of transgenic animals and the utilization as a gene therapeutic drug. This protein is obtained by screening out a cDNA library arising from human drain with a probe or the like and integrating the resultant gene into a vector to express in a host cell. |
