PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method for restoring the part of a damaged metal plate or the like to be required for repairing, by grafting another metal plate. SOLUTION: Two tapered chamfering parts 2 and 4 are made up on the surface of an edge part at the joining side of two reciprocal metal plates 1 and 3 to be joined together, and these edge parts are set up at the required interval, while a backplate 5 is attached to the backside, temporarily looking both the metal plates 1 and 3 thereto, and each tapping screw 7 is screwed in at proper intervals from the vicinity of each surface of these metal plates 1 and 3 avoided from the chamfering parts 2 and 4. After it is screwed at least to reach the backplate 5, a filler 9 is filled up in a recessed filling part formed in space between these chamfering parts 2 and 4, whereby the surface is finished up.
