PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber end face polishing device provided with a chuck mechanism capable of most suitably giving pressing force to ferrule end faces against a polishing surface plate and allowing plural optical connector- ferrules to be simultaneously polished. SOLUTION: This optical fiber end face polishing device is provided with a first shaft 20 movably supporting a chuck mechanism 5 in which plural ferrule holders 39 are radially arranged in the direction perpendicular to a polishing surface plate 6, a first pressurizing mechanism for moving the first shaft so that the end faces of plural ferrules A are pressed against the polishing surface plate, a second shaft 50 for moving a ferrule holding part 40 which holds the ferrule end faces opposite to the polishing surface plate for every ferrule holder, in parallel with the first shaft, a third shaft 51 for guiding the movement of the ferrule holding part, and an air cylinder 44 as a second pressing mechanism for moving the second shaft in order to give pressing force to the polishing surface plate for every ferrule end face and give different pressing forces to every polishing process.
