PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-driven fishing reel characterized in that the small sizing and weight reduction of the total reel body is designed, the high speed and high torque of a spool motor can be realized, the perfect waterproofing of the spool motor is schemed, and radio disturbance attributable to the spool motor is prevented. SOLUTION: An electrically-driven fishing reel comprises a spool supported between side plates of a reel body in a rotatable state, a spool motor 17 placed in the spool or between the side plates of the reel body, and a speed reducer for transmitting the driving force of the spool motor 17 to the spool. In the fishing reel, a blushless motor is used as the spool motor 17.
