PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lateral deviation of a manhole or sewage catch basin due to vibration by providing upper and lower fitting portions each having a higher inner horizontal surface continuing to a lower outer horizontal surface through a sloped surface with two different gradients with the inner and outer horizontal surfaces having cohesive rubber seals clamped with the sloped surfaces jointed as they are. SOLUTION: Upper and lower fitting surfaces 10A and 10B comprise inner side horizontal surface 11A and 11B, sloped surfaces 12A, 13A, 12B, 13B as well as outer side horizontal surfaces 14A and 14B. Cohesive rubber seal rings 20A, 20B are respectively placed in circumferential grooves 111B, 141B formed in the inner side horizontal surface 11B and outer side horizontal surface 14B of the lower fitting surface 10B, and a member having the upper fitting surface 10A is lowered to the ring. When lowering this, the square edge 121B of the slope 12B of the lower fitting surface 10B is contacted to the slope 13A or 12A of the upper fitting surface 10A thereby naturally aligning the centers of the upper and lower fitting surfaces 10A, 10B, making respective slopes 12A and 12B, and 13A and 13B united, and the horizontal surfaces 11A and 11B and 14A and 14B respectively clamp and fit the rubber seal rings 20A, 20B. In this way, lateral deviation can be prevented even though the vibration is applied to the fittings.
